Im giving some thought to swapping my halides up for a 48" kr92 unit. I have heard they are excellent but is there anyone here using them?

£1200 for the size I need is a lot though, are they worth it?. For anyone who hasn't seen them heres a link

Ive got a kr91 on my 2ft cube. I love it, great colours. If you got the money then go for it. I'd recommend going to see a tank with one on before though, just to see if you like the look. I know of someone on UR that bought one and then sold them straight away and went back to t5's. Just didnt like the colour.

I personally like it. I cant comment on coral hrowth yet as im still quite new to the game and the tank hasnt been set up too long but I have definetely had some growth from my sps frags under it.

what depth of tank?

personally i wouldnt. id get a second hand ATI T5 unit and put the rest to bulbs/electric.

20", but thinking for the future. I did buy a 4x2x2 but turned out being cracked and the repair was out of the question, for me to do anyway. Have been think of a custom built, 30" deep. Anyway as for most of us its all down to funds.
