So i bought 5 common female swords and 1 koi male...However the male shows no intested in the swords he is more into the guppies :S My question is are koi swords able to breed with normal swords? also i have one sail fin female if they were to breed would the babies also be sailfin?

1. all Cultivated swords will breed with each other .
2. not all of the babies will be sail fins

Yes, your koi sword can breed with normal females, it's only a colour morph; he'll get around to it once he's settled in a bit.

The genetics of high/sail fins are quite complicated (it appears not to be controlled by a single gene), but you ought to get about 50% sail fin and 50% normal finned from her :)

Don't forget that your females may already be carrying sperm from another male from before they got to your tank.
