got a clown knife fish about 8'' and a ghost knife 4'' at the mo both in the same tank and seem to be getting on quite well the tank is a juwel vision 180. wot size tank sould i get to move them into in the future and will they always get on together. both being in in the same tank for about a year now

The clown will need a very large (think 200 gallons+) tank as it can get to 3 feet long and weigh just under 5 kg. Clowns are reknowned for being aggressive so I would expect it to start hassling the ghost not too long after it hits a foot long.

I would not want to house adults of both species in the same tank.

thanx will look and purchasing a new tank in the next few weeks, wot fish would you advise me to keep with them in the future

I am unsure on the clown having never kept it, and can't remember anyone with a full grown adult. I know CFC had(has?) one, so he will be able to advise better than I.

I keep my 2 BGK with larger fairly peaceful fish (bala sharks, plecs, lima shovelnoses and Chalceus spp.)

imo the clown knife will eventually kill the bgk :( tank mates for clown knives should be chosen carefully i keep my 13" ck with other large oddballs like bichirs and a fire eel and a gar.tank size id say 6x2x2 minimum but you may have to upgrade to something wider

thanx will do a bit of research into the fish i can keep, and purchase a larger tank :good:
