Knife Fish In 30g...

Can i get a small BGK at keep him in a 30g he will be about 2"... and obv when he gets to big get a bigger tank or if it comes down to it rehome him? but once i saw the BGK i wanted one!! and i want a baby and my lfs would let me change him once he gets large for another small one so would it be ok ?

No is the short answer. I bought my bgkf at 2-3" and within the year he was 12". Obviously others may have different experiences but since you cannot guarantee you won't have one which grows quickly it wouldn't be a good idea.
Imo, regardless of whether the lfs are willing to take him back or not, fish deserved to be homed in the right enviroment not pushed around like some unwanted child that when it gets too difficult gets past on to somewhere else.

If you really want one then I would suggest buying a bigger tank.
