Anyone had any experience with these? Any useful pointers, say tank size, feeding and compatability?

Would they go okay with corydoras?

Thanks

They should be fine with corys. Max size 5 1/2-6 inches minimum tank 30 gallon and they will eat algae wafers along with fresh veggies and maybe catfish chunks

There a carnivorous species so they very rarely eat algae wafers or veg, a good protein source from live/frozen foods and a staple diet of carnivore pellets/variety wafers or tetra prima is needed aswell as prawns as a good other source food. Veg can and probably should be offered but usually not often touched.

30g is a very vague size for tank, there are plenty of tanks about which are above 30g but less than 2 foot long, really 2.5 foot minimum and 3 + foot better depending on how many kept

size wise they can and often get bigger than 6 inches but 6 is usually the 'average' size.

Ive kept 66's with various bottom dwellers including many cory's and they co exist very well, the problem lies with the temp that the 66's prefer and the cory's added. 66's will thrive at low to mid 80's where many cory's just wont like them temps.

Okay thanks for the info. Ill have a look into wether they would be suitable for my setup. Just found them interesting.

Cheers, James

your setup will suit them just fine, provided the water temperature is hiked up to 80ish, and prolific cover is offered. Vegetables should be offered, especially to younger specimens, which do much better given a fiber-heavy diet.
