Help me choose my Christmas present to myself...

Do you own a Kindle or a Nook, and why did you choose one over the other?

Kindle. It was bought for me. I prefer a normal book though.

I have a kindle. Get the 3G version so you can download a book anywhere. Only takes a minute. I have the old model but the touch screen models look good.
I love my kindle. The screen looks like your reading a book. You can shop for books on your kindle or on the amazon store. All books are stored on your amazon account forever(I suppose as long as amazon doesn't go bust), and can be downloaded in a minute to your kindle, PC, ipad or phone with the free kindle app. If you are reading your book on your kindle but later on read it on your phone the book will sync to your last page read. Also no more finding space for books. My attic is full of books. The kindle itself I think can store about 1000 books but is academic as all stored in the cloud.
Downside not all books are in electronic format yet. Check on amazon the types of books you like. Also the price of the book is nearly the same as paper format. No buy 2 get 1 free offers.
Had to look up the nook. Looks interesting. Seems to be lack of 3G though.

I have the Nook and have used the kindle before. Personally I prefer the Nook.
