Kinda Of An Emergency

Just got home with 30LBS of live rock and a much lighter wallet. I'm going to rince the rock with some water of my fish tank. Is there anything else I should do to the live rock. Like check it for stuff, remove algea from it or anything?

hiya, new to this so don't take what I say as total gospal.

I have recently bought live rock (cured), I just popped it in, I have loads of things creeping round in there and lots of green alge (some fish eat this as part of their diet), it's quite interesting to watch.

Unless there is anything concerning on it I wouldn't handle it too much.

I picked up and it was part of some setup fish tank with fish in it. So it can't be that bad...I think

I wouldnt rinse it. Just throw it in.

I rinsed it off a bit in tank water that I had put in a bucket just to get the free falling stuff out. It's all in the tank and the snails and hermits are already on it munching away.
