A world of my own
Have 3 danios in there cycling now. Real active fellas. Took some filter media from my 10g. That oughta kick start the cycling. I'll probably add some more next week. Or can i add more sooner? my 10g doesnt need so much filtration now that my betta is dead, so i took the liberty of adding 1/3 of the filter media. I'll be doing little water changes to both, and then a full transfer of the 10g to the 65g, except for water.

Sorry to hear about your betta, but congrats :D on the new tank. Are you planning to keep the 10 gallon running for a q-tank? If so, you need to keep feeding your bacteria there also. I don't do fishy cycling, so I can't offer any help on whether to add more fish.

Oh yeah, forgot, my mum wants 2 goldfish there. Here's a question, In the West, you guys use heater to keep tropical fish. Here, how do i keep coldwater fish???

Hmmm, personally i think goldfish and tropicals are out off place for keeping together. Also goldfish potential is like 12" and even when small they produce alot more waste than your average tropicalfish (except the biguns).

What about a barb species? Golden barbs, Roseys?

you can keep a gold fish (especialy the deep bodied type) In a warm tank ut you should provide lots of airation.
