hi guys. I have two khuli loaches and i have had them for about a week now. I was just wondering how much they grow and what they eat. I have been feeding them bloodworms and sinking wafers. Do they stay a small size or do they just grow even more? Anything will be appreciated! :)

Umm.. They grow like 3 and a 1/2 inches or more. They dont get very round or anything so they wont get stuck in anything and are very flexible. They may hide for a couple days or longer so dont think they are dead. THey will eat anything that the other fish dont eat like floating flakes that sink. Make sure they have plenty of places to hide and shade. I would say get more like 4 more at least. They will be more active and be a better fish.

Khuli loaches are mostly omnivorous fish but you shouldn't just rely on them scavenging enough food to survive in the tank- bloodworms and algae wafers are good, you can also try some of the many higher protein catfish pelets brands that are around too :good: . Prawns, mussels and cockels will be readily taken too (you will need to tie them down with a weight of some sort though) as well as slices of cucumber :) .
Providing the loaches with some cover like a cave or rock/wood pile is important too though if you want your loaches to stay happy as they spend a lot of their time hiding under objects or in the undergrowth, snatching morsels of food when the opportunity arises. Sand substrate is the best for these fish as it allows them to naturally filter through it for food with their barbels/whiskers  .

well, not really a BIG no-no.... but ur loaches will greatly appreciate a sand substrate.

just bought two more Khuli loaches and two more Pakistani Loaches. They all stick together, and swim all over the tank.
