Well after a spur of the moment decision I went to my lfs with my eldest son. We were walking round the tanks really slowly looking at them all as I was trying to get some otocinclus. My son yelled excitedly to me that he found stripy worms! and they turned out to be Khuli loaches. I was so thrilled as I'd been looking for these for some time. It gave us a good laugh too as the poor guy tried to net 4 of them for me. They were in with guppies who kept getting in the net while the loaches in turn refused to

Anyway we got 4 of them and also 3 otocinclus which didn't have a name on so not sure which type they are although looking on some sites they could be Huaorani.

The loaches are now in my sandy tank and been swimming around and investigating their new home with my cories. The otos are in my big smooth gravel tank and doing their best on my algae.

Congrats, enjoy your new arrivals.

Thanks all :)

I have lots of plants and caves in my tank as its the female betta community and they must feel secure as they only have to wriggle a couple of inches and they can hide somewhere. They were out all yesterday and I've seen them around this morning too with the cories.

I bought 4 of them as I heard they like to be in groups

My otos on the other hand aren't doing so well :/ One keeps tipping on its side and another is a little dodgy. I've contained them in one of my smaller tanks now with gentle flow from filter so will have to see if I get any survive. I've heard how delicate they can be :-(
