Khuli Loach Going Underground!

I have had a khuli loach now for nearly a year and not once has it burried itself! I put it in a bigger tank yeaterday with realy fine gravel almost like sand, should it bry itself now as it would be great if it did? Cheers, Joemuz

Well mine i had for about a year and never saw it bury itself but then i moved it into my 6 footer and then boom gone now i only see him at night and it also depends on what personality your fish has

Mine like to dig or squeeze themselves under large bits of driftwood in my tank in the sand.

At least the loach feels comfortable out in the open.I have never heard of people hoping they won't be able to see their fish!
I had 3 in my very first tank and saw them about once every two months.

It's not that i don't want to see him but want to se him bury itself. It looks great when they do!

You are pretty lucky if it doesnt bury itself. My 3 all hide under bogwood and sometimes i wont see them for weeks. But on other occasions they all come out together during the night and swim all night. This will happen for about a week then they will hide again .I wish I could see them more as when they are out they are my favourite fish.
