Hello I am wanting to setup another planted 20 Gallon Long Freshwater Tank with a stock of Fancy Guppy's and Mystery Snails. My Kh and Gh is pretty low naturally from my water tap of 3 or 4 drops for both. Question I have to achieve this type of stock in the tank I know that my Kh and Gh will half to be higher then this for both but how much higher?? I will be using Seachem Alkaline Buffer for the Kh and Seachem Equilibrium for the Gh. For both of these

recommendations vary all over the internet, I was thinking a level of Kh 8 and a level of Gh 8 would be decent for both of these in the tank??, Am I correct are should I increase it even more?? Years ago I had these both in a tank together but I cant remember what I had my Kh and Gh levels set at to accomplish this goal. I know there is other ways to increase both my Kh and Gh naturally but for me using seachem is practical and what I have on hand presently to use. Thanks in advance.

Guppies do best in water with a pH above 7.0 and a GH above 200ppm (11dGH).

I used Rift Lake conditioner at half strength to raise the pH, GH and KH of my water when keeping livebearers.

You should deworm any fish you get while they are in a quarantine tank so the don't introduce worms into the main tank.

Yeah I know both Fancy Guppy and Mystery Snails require a lot more for care. This ideally would not be a setup I would do myself but since they have already been ordered not much I can do about it now. So I am preparing the tank as we speak to house both but it has been cycled so that is one leap ahead of this journey. I also read a article that said as follows is this correct and accurate too?? Fancy Guppy's water temperature: 72-82 pH: 6.8-7.8 GH 8-12. Mystery Snails water temperature: 68-84 pH: 7.6-8.4 GH 8-18.

Hello :)
Poecilia reticulata is an incredibly adaptable species but prefers planted tank with floating vegetation, pH 7-8.5 hardness 145-535 ppm (8-32 dGH).
Temp 17°C-28°C. Guppy is very (too?) fertile.
