A good 6". I wouldn't house them in anything smaller than a 29. AC

Cleithracara Maroni only get to 4 inches and thats a big one, most want get bigger than 2.5 inches. Great community fish and can be housed in rather small tanks cos they dont get up to much.

My male reached a good 6 inches inc tail. I had to buy a larger net!

Females however stay much smaller and plumper. My females were 4 inches max.

I've got a pair of keyholes, adults, neither of them are biggers than 2.5 inches. Great fish though.

I had one for a few years I loved it. When he was 2 years old he was 4". they are on the small side.

ive bred these in the past and got 18 of them at the moment various sizes they can breed from 2inch in size but my biggest pair got too 5 inch and easy put my large angel fish to shame ...... they will stay smaller if housed in a smaller tank but thats not advisable as stunts there growth but there insides still continue to grow ..... largest one i currently have is around 3inch in size and still growing

Peter, what is the smallest tank you would house a pair in and not stunt their growth?

if on there own id say 30" x 12" x 15/18" high as when adult its not the length of them its how chunky they get but if community tank then id say 4x2x18 as have to acount for the other fish in the tank aswel ... but thats just my opinion others may have a different aspect on it
