Ok.....put your 2 cents. Kent's three main plankton products. Feel free to comment on what works best for you when it comes to plankton. SH

I'll be the first then :p

I've used/use all three every since setting up my first marine tank. Yes, live phyto is better as is live zooplankton but getting hold of it is hard round my way so needs must. I've never had any issues with regards to water quality when using the products but do tend to 'underdose' compared to what they recommend on the bottle.

I've tried both and I'm not sure how good the stuff is. Many people claim that live is the only way to go. To be honest, I'm suspicious of any product that doesn't have to be refrigerated. My sun corals WOULD open up when ZooPlex was placed in the tank. Personally, I think the best products are DT's Marine Snow and Oyster eggs. SH

I started the hobby using the Kent line and had minimal results. I moved on to the DT's line and things got better. From there I started my own algae cutlures for costs sake and that went O.K. until I got tired of the maintence and went back to D.T's. Lately I have found Reef Solution by Eco Systems and am amzed at the the succsess with the product. Corals are growing faster, polyps and mushrooms especially, and the only additive I need to add besides it is calcium. I ma really happy with the Reef Solution.

Other than calcium, I don't put dead things in my tank.
