Having moved in with my boyfriend (and now renting my house to mother who does not want any aquariums in there) and having limited space for tanks where I now live, I am reluctantly having to close down some of my tanks and rehome a few fish.
First on the list is my lovely rainbow shark whom I have had for approx 3 years. He doesn't much like to share his tank with too many other fish (I have had him recently in a 2ft tank with just one other fish and couple of ADFs and snails which he was fine with). Originally he had been in a 3ft community tank which did not work out too well as he became a bit of a bully but I think had he been in a much larger tank (something over 4ft) then he would have been fine with a community of top/middle dwellers. But since the change-over he is more of a shy-boy now, hiding away in his little log cave, especially when the lights are on.
He is about 6" and I think he has prob reached his adult size now, as far as I am aware.
I really don't want to give him up but I just don't have room for more than two aquariums where I live now.
So...with much sadness I am offering him up for adoption by someone who has a largish, fully matured tank, no diseases etc, someone who can appreciate and take care of him and maybe once in a while let me know how he's doing.
I live in Herne Bay - I can deliver locally within Herne Bay/Whitstable areas or you would need to come and collect him personally. I don't want to chance posting.
If anyone is interested, let me know what home you could offer him and I'll make a decision based on what best suits his needs.
Please post on here rather than PM until an arrangement has been made, thanks.
Many thanks - Athena
ps I will try to post a pic soon!
