Today i managed to find a cheap 25w heater on eBay, bought that! I also went out to the pet shop and bought some filter media. Went into boots, guess what, they dont sell ammonia any more.... I think ill just put some mature media in. No plants left.

Should i get some of the screw on brackets the P@H sell and fit a t5? Would it hold on that?

it looks to me like theres sun light on the tank. you'll suffer from BGA. the worst algae known to man!

i'd also turn off that airstone in the other tank. your driving off what ever co2 is in the tank.

cheers

trust me 5 mins on ocasions is enough. i suffered at the hands of natural sunlight and was stuck with bga for ages. its a pig. prevention is better than cure.

the plants help to airate the water. do you have a filter running? internal filters can be placed towards the surface to agitate the water at the surface to aid in oxyginating the water.

your fish wont suffer without it. :good: i have co2 injection well and truly above 30ppm with no ill effects to my fish.

Hey Keith, you will need to either position the flow so it hits the sides or block it somehow as SF's do not like a strong current :good:

Thats the big tank im talking about. he was wondering about the bubble curtain in it.

The wee SF tank has little current, bouncing off the wall no where near the main part of the tank, so fine in that way.
