this really hurts me to say but i may have to sell my gorgeous oscar Keith  ive been trying to change my stock a bit and as he is the only big fish in the tank hes too dominant to accept bigger fish in with him.

i have kept him with other fish of similar size with no issues at all which can be seen in my big tank journal in my sig below his picture. since being the only cichlid in the tank hes become too dominant but im sure he would fit in with an already established set up of bigger fish as he would be the new boy....

im collecting a new ray tomorrow and if he starts to go for it then he will have to go as the ray is costing quite a bit and dont want to lose it. fingers crossed Keith will accept the ray and i can keep him but its very hit and miss. the ray is small so theres a good chance he will be fine.

i have for the last 6 months plus kept Keith with small fish which he doesnt bother a bit. in fact they eat the food he drops almost from inside his mouth  he is fine with catfish/plecs too.

he is a stunning oscar and being slightly biased the best looking oscar ive seen  he is currently about 12-13 inches minimum including tail so will need a big enough tank 60x18x24 minimum. very healthy and if given the chance will eat all day....

he has almost become part of our familly and the kids love him which is why i really dont want to let him go but it all depends on his reaction to the ray. he is a great wet pet and very reactive towards me.

i can deliver locally but would prefer collection although i can provide a poly box to take him in if required. im located in leicestershire close to the M69, M1 and M6 so very easy to get to.

i really hope i dont have to sell him but like i say it all depends on his reaction to the new tank mate....... fingers crossed he will be fine and i can keep him :hey:

please only comment if interested in having Keith as i dont want this cluttered with useless comments :)

he may settle mate, my oscars picked on my fire eel for a couple of days and dont even pass it the time of day now and when i kept a ray they were fine with it only issue was how greedy they were

hi Simon.

hes not exactly attacking them just yet but i have caught him giving them a nip on the back which on a scaleless fish could be quite damaging....

ive had a few time wasters on AQ and nothing has come of it so he is still up for grabs people.

Do you want a PAIR of Sevs or a pair of Sevs?

if im being honest i dont really want any other cichlids in the tank as im trying to reduce the bioload of the tank to keep the nitrates as low as poss.

i was going to add a group of tetra as dithers and may go with B/A tetras.

i added the severum thing on AQ but im not sure its what i want now sorry mate.

No problem Matt. Maybe you could move the CRF's as the shoal once you have rehomed everything you need to rehome. :look:

they are acting as great dithers/target fish in the other tank so they will be staying there.
