I know it's said they like to be in groups. I have a cute 2" True SAE. I was so amazed I found one I had to have it. So I brought him home and he is doing well. He found a place that he really likes to hang out at. He eats some algea here and there. He is so cute but I know they get to be 5" thats why I got just one. I am debating going and getting another one. Then I would have 2 and that way they have a friend. But The store is an hour away.

How many of you had kept just one? How did he do alone?

i had a group of 3 that grew very very fast and soon were 5 inches. they just chased and tormented each other so i removed 2 and just kept 1 that lived a nice life alone he use to try and swim with the other fish and join in but as they sink if they stop moving it looked a bit odd....

i know of others that have kept groups that lived in peace and my lfs has about 10 in a display tank and ive never seen then squabble so maybe i had 3 terrors

I had 2 and that didn't really work out. Either keep them singly or in large groups

Thanks I will stick to one. That's what I wanted to hear.
