Hey all, I have 1 female betta and 1 guppy in a 25 gallon tank. I wanted to know if I could add anymore female bettas to the tank, if so how many? And if I could add any other kind of fish what could I add?

You could try it, in that size of tank I would suggest getting atleast 5 more (to bring the total up to 6). The more female bettas you have, the more the aggression is spread out, and in that size of tank you could have a total of maybe 10 or so (if you didn't add any other kind of fish). You might run into problems with the guppy, the females might pick on her. But you could always try it, and if it doesn't work then move your guppy somewhere else.
You could add some bottom dwelling fish, such as a group of 6 cories, or a group of 3 or so kuhli loaches, or a group of ottos (of atleast 3). But that will mean that you can't add as many females, but you might want something different in your tank besides just the bettas.

ok great thanks, and do you think I could keep one male in there with them or would that be too much of a problem?

ok so if I wanted to breed them what size tank should I use?

Yeah I have bred them before, but I had gravel in the tank so when the eggs would fall out of the bubble nest the male wouldnt be able to find them so they all died :-( . But I will be much more careful this time

Also I was thinking of getting a couple males too, I have two empty 2.5 gallon tanks, so I was thinking of getting maybe 2 or 3 more females to put them in the same tank, and get 2 males, what do you think?
