what do you think about keeping guppies w/ a betta i've read that bettas sometime attack male guppies thinking they're other bettas but the lfs seems to always be doing it and the guppies seem unharmedif this seems like a bad idea then would keeping killis(gold panachax) be okay

It's almost always a bad idea. I've got two "feeder" female guppies in with my betta juvies, but luckily they're VERY drab so the bettas ignore them. Normally I would never combine the two, but the guppies came in as fry with some ghost shrimp I bought and they'd get eaten in every single other tank I have, so being the bleeding heart I am I just raised them up as the betta's adopted siblings

I don't know much about killis but BigC does... maybe you could PM him, I don't think he comes to the betta board much. -_-

With the gups, as Synirr said, it very rarely works. Your LFS might do it but remember, LFSs turn over fish at such a fast rate that there is hardly any time for problems to occur, or more likely be noticed.

Not a good idea at all. Neither with killies or guppies - both of which I have - but not together.

Generally fine as long as you have enough space and gallons. Account 2 gallons for a snail as they produce quite some waste. Keep in mind cories "prefer" to be in groups of 6 or more :) Remember the average size of a cory is 3" when fully grown.
