Hi, i have a small 10 litre tank with a sponge filter and would love to keep a betta is this size tank too small. Thanks :D

i'm not sure how big that is in gallons... but i have mine in a 2.5g and he seems very happy :) a lot of people keep them in smaller. my guess is that 10 litres is pretty big (i'm picturing about 10 bags of milk :p)

GO GET YOUR BETTA :d:D:D

Ok thanks. My LFS dosnt have much of a selection either purply blue or red males. I have some really nice small red gravel that i could put in the tank and a small fake plant. I had a betta about a year ago when i first started keeping fish he was a purply blue colour and was call Xander only had him a couple of months then he died i guess he was old when i got him. I woud love to have a go at keeping another one. Anyone else know if my tank will be big enough ( 10 litres). If it is i will have to persuade mum to take me to have a look.

Where do u lot get your gorgeous bettas from bear in mind that i live in the uk.

You won't be able to put any tank mates with the betta considering the size tank. And what did you feed your betta? If you fed him flakes thats why its because the are meat eaters and like protein in their diet. So with this betta you should get some fish food made just for bettas.

i got my first betta at Big Als (i'm from canada; don't know if you have one there or not).... and my second i got from the local pet store (i live in a small lil town). but i hope to save some from the various walmarts and give them happy homes soon :)
