After quite a bit of searching we found a breeder we were happy with that bred they breed of dog we were looking for, an Australian Terrier. Meest Kazimeras, Lithuanian for Casimir, which means "The Great Destroyer";
He likes to play hard, and sleeps really well in his crate, for a pup that is just 9 weeks old he goes a solid 5 hours sleeping;
It was a 4 hour drive north to go get him, and a 5 hour drive back with a few stops. We actually had to wake him up after 2 1/2 hours to relieve himself, after that he slept the rest of the way home. We were expecting hours of squeaking, he was so well behaved it was unbelievable. Housebreaking is going really well, I have to give the breeder credit for working with the dogs in an excellent breeding setup for making this part of training much easier.
When he's an adult he'll be about 14 pounds, and look pretty much like this picture from the breeder's site;
He still has a bit of growing to do before he's allowed down in the fishroom, young pups need to start with a smaller environment, but I'm sure it won't be long at all before he's down there helping to clean up stray flakes that miss the tanks. For right now he's mama's little baby; I ordered some supplies from Dr. Foster & Smith this morning, she more than doubled the order with dog goodies.
