I decided to post this in here as I still am a beginner!!...

I have just got my Juwel Vision 180 (thanks Santa), and I am in process of fishless cycling.

I am going to transfer over my current stock as I do not have room for 2 tanks.

I am just wondering what people think would work well with my current stock?, I like the look of Clown Loaches but reading on this forum I think they will need a bigger tank?

I am using an Eheim 2026 external as well as the internal Juwel filter on the new tank

Thanks in advance for any replies

Just wondering if anyone can answer my question about the clown loaches or have any other suggestions what would go well with my current stock in my new tank

Clown loaches need a much bigger tank so I'd leave them and maybe go for some of the smaller loaches? I'd also think about rehoming those two common plecs, as one wont fit in there (need at least a 4ft long by 18" by 18" tank, preferably larger), let alone two. Maybe a bristlenose to replace them?

To be fair the loaches will be fine in there for a long time...

We've had clowns for 3 years now, got them at about 1.5" - the largest is now about 5".

If you dont mind swapping fish, you could sell them on and get small ones again in a few years time.

depending on how quickly they grow I may rehome the Plecs, at the moment they are in my 70, and are really tiny, will see how they progress....

I've read that common plecs get huge -at some time they will have to go I think.

LisaLQ - if you are talking about the clowns... what on earth are you feeding them???

Irf.
