Juwel Vision 180 Light

Argh!! My light has just gone on my tank and because its on a circuit it wont come back on.
Do I have to buy a Juwel bulb or can you tell me an alternative?
Does anyone know the price and do you think I would have to get one ordered in?

Well a new tube is probably approx £15-£18. Because it's on a circuit you have to replace it. No alternative.
Just hope that it's not the actual light unit that's blown (happens often) and this would cost at least £50 to replace.

Thanks alot, the light bulb was actually flickering and then it wen off, I have checked the bulb and it does look dark at the ends.

Do you think I should take the whole light unit with me when I collect the bulb? to make sure, because I dont want to come home and it not working.

That definitely sounds like it's just the bulb that went. Just take the old bulb with you when buying a new one to make sure you get the right size.
You don't need to take the whole big unit.

I will give the LFS a ring and see if they can order me a bulb. I was going to clean out the tank today but its pointless now until I can see what I am doing, to many live plants to move around in the dark, hehe!

my bulb done exactly the same a couple of weeks ago, you shouldn't have to order them in, most pet shops with aquatics have bulbs for sale in the shop, i've got the juwel rio 180 and thats a 36" bulb so i'm guessing the vision 180 is pretty much the same, maybe a bit smaller.

I have been in contact with the LFS and they have some in stock. I will go through on Saturday when I am off and pick one up.
