Hi All,

I have seen a Juwel Rio 240 setup for marine with the following specs:

Volume:

240 litres (39 Gals)

Light System:

New High Lite T5 lighting 54W White & 54W Actinic Blue Marine tubes

Protein Skimmer:

Red Sea Prizm

Filter System:

Tetratec EX1200 External Filter (existing juwel internal filter can either be left in place or removed with a sharp knife)

Tank Dimensions:

121 x 45 x 55 cm (WxDxH)

Cabinet Dimensions:

121 x 41 x 73 cm (WxDxH)

Its retailing from an online store for £616.

As a newbie can anyone advise if this spec is suitable for a marine reef system?

I intend to use lots of live rock and am open to ideas and suggestions.

Thanking you in advance.

Kind regards,

Kriss

i didt read it appperently as i didnt think it was that much

Sounds rubbish, sounds rubbish. :shifty:

Good price for the gear, however, with a skimmer that isn't worth the plastic it's made of, a free nitrate factory included (unless you modify the media set-up in the TT exturnal or clean it weekly) and not enough flow to do much with. Oh, and unless you want FOWLR or just a soft coral reef, the lights aren't up-to par either....

It would be better to buy the tank and gear seporately as a newbie ;)

All the best

nah dont buy it, look out for a decent 2nd hand tank. Then build up your own equipment. You'll have everything for that £600 and much better
