Juwel Rio 125 or Rekord 120?

Hi all

I am a complete beginner and was tempted to get a Biorb 60 but after seeing them in real life decided a more traditional tank would look so much better.

Anyway, I've got a choice between the Rio 125 or Rekord 120. Can anyone advise which is the best?

I have a rekord 120 had no problems with it, it depends on which design you like and where it is going.

Hi

I have both the Rio 125 and the Rekord 120. They're both good tanks, the only difference is the shape. The Rekord is long (about 39"?) and not so deep or so high. The Rio is higher and deeper front to back, so is not so long, more a cube. It all depends on where it's going and how much room you have. I guess the Rekord is more traditionally shaped and the Rio is more a centrepiece, or piece of furniture. Sorry not to be more help, but it really is down to the space where you're gonna put it and your personal preference.

This is my 4' long - not the Rekord, but it's a very similar shape, but about 9" longer

and this is the Rio125

Many thanks for all your replies, and SarahBravo for the pics. Now I understand the difference. I'll probably go for the Rio 125 as it fits in better where I want it to go.
