Juwel Internal Filter Removal

Guys,

Need some help here...

I need to remove the BIG black filter box from my new Juwel Trigon 350, thought this would be easy.
However it seems they have siliconed it in with 5 blobs of silicon on each side of the rear corner !!!
Its solid !

How have other people removed these ?

get a sharp but thin knife, stick it down between the two and cut through the silicone

there's a pinned topic on it somewhere i'm sure of it

Exactly as miss wiggle said, I did this with a paint scraper of all things and some brute force

long bladed knife just gently force down behind the box, once you've cut one blob of silicone then it will prise free with a little easing, to and fro

sharp edged paint scraper worked fine for me twice .

I got a pallet knife and then sharpened it razor sharp, took minutes to get it off !!
