Juwel Filters

Hi all,

As a beginner I am looking at getting a Juwel Rekord setup, which comes with everything I need to get started.

I was just wondering if anyone can tell me how loud the filter pump is, as it will be kept in my bedroom, and don't want it keeping me awake! Also, does the pump have an output for an air stone, as I think they look very nice to have bubbles floating in the tank.

They hardly make any noise at all - mine was entirely silent.
You can get a "venturi" attachement if you want bubbles.

mine makes a slight noise but you only hear it when up close.

Juwels are great tanks, you will read on here that the filters are aweful and not big enough for the tanks.

all i can say is i have 2 juwel tanks (rio 180 and Rekord 60) both up and running for over 18 months and i've had no problems at all.

the filter will clog up if you neglect the maintenance. with a weekly water change and monthly sponge rince (in old tank water) they work a treat.

I also like Juwel. I have a Rekord96 at the moment. I am buying another tank soon, I am hoping to get a 400litre if Santa is feeling generous! I have to move a Pleco so I thought given it's eventual size I might as well get as big a tank as possible.

had no probs with the hardware side of my juwel tank..... just make sure you clean power head out once every two weeks depending on stocking levels etc.... gets bit clogged and slows up filtration a bit, with regular cleaning its fine though. good luck
