In my juwel rekord 60 the filter is really crap, i like to to replace it and was thinking of the fluval 3 plus. Do any of you have an opinion on this filter, i'd like to hear your veiws. Also, is it quiet because it's going to be in my bedroom.

I had an internal juwel filter on my 125. I changed it for a fluval 204 canister filter cause the internal one sucked.

I'm kinda partial to Canister Filters to begin With.

And the ONLY ONE I would/do use is the Magnum 350, It self Primes, and once Primed Makes NEXT to NO Noise at all.

Just a Slight hum of the magnetic Impellar Driven Motor....

I have had no problems with the filter in my Rekord 60. Fish are fine and so are my plants :)

I do agree that it may not be the best filter out there but with a bit of TLC it works fine.

Fluval 3+ are silent running unless the outlet is at the top of the water . When the filter is cleaned it will be slighty noisy for a while. :D

I have a Fluval 2+ in mine, plenty big enough for a 60 litre tank especially if you run them both together.

BIN IT!

Throw it away. Noisy, pain in the butt, pants, useless. Buy a Fluval 105/205, or a Rena XP1. Much better!

agreed 100% - clean it when you do your weekly water change and it will work just fine. i'm 18 months down the line with my rekord 60 and the filter is great. perfect for a planted tank with a small mod to the outlet. totally silent as well.
