Hi folks, I got a great deal on a Juwel Bioflow 1500 pump which arrived today new from Ebay for £35 inc. p&p, only I have a problem... The pump is too big for the cavity in the Juwel filter that came with my Rio240, so I cannot do a straight upgrade from the 1000 pump in the installed system!

Does anyone have a surplus Bioflow 6.0 available for a cheap purchase, which is apparently the only chamber big enough to fit this new 1500 pump of mine? The new pump, when in the grey case/connector, is ~3" longx2"x2" around the pump itself, with the outflow tube protruding by another ~5mm.

I have replied in the hardware section. I have a jumbo filter from a rio 400, let me know what bits you need measuring and I will check on mine :good:

The 1500 is longest along the sides that are on the same plane as the outflow pipe, ~2.5" or 6cm long.

The shortest sides of this rectangular cuboid (mentioned in Herry Hill's TV Burb when referring the the tv show "The Cube" this week) is ~1.5" or 3.75cm deep, is how far the pump goes into the tank water.

The shortest sides seen from above are ~2" or 5cm.

(I tried to do a lillte ascii picture but it went horribly wrong when I posted properly, LOL)

Still on the lookout for one of these "monster" Juwel filter chambers (the sponges are constantly on Ebay, but the chambers never seem to show up)...
