Juwel At Maidenhead Aquatics

I have just been looking at the special offers on the maidenhead aquatics website (www.fishkeeper.co.uk) and they have a promotion on Juwel tanks. They appear to be a bargain having had a quick browse of other site can someone comfirm for me that this deal is as good as it looks or am I missing something?

Looks ok I suppose If I bought my Lido from there I would've save 35 quid but they'll probably get millions of orders and not be able to cope!

Oh well I've got my Lido now so too late.

they are good prices. My lfs sells juwel rekord 60,70,80,96,110,120,160 for £45 ea with stand or cabinet. Thats what i think a bargain is. However, thes eprices for the larger tanks not the rekord on here are fantastic.

Just gave my local Maidehnead a call.

£198 for a Rio 180 with stand, evrywhere else is selling them for £275+. Think i may be ordering one soon

i paid £230 for my rio 180 inc 2 reflectors and was quoted £315 for a rio 240 (inc 2 reflectors) from my other lfs

edit. Thay may be clearing there old stock with the T8 lighting to make way for the T5 (iirc high lite) stuff

Maidenhead never sell Juwel before (not in my store + they say the stock is not in shops, but on order.) So the only company who could be clearing stock would be Juwel.

Yeah they are nice just have slightly lower lighting power.

Easily fixed with Interpet compact T5s though.

checked the tanks out at maidenhead and they are the T8 ones they are selling. thats why they are so cheap

I have spoken to my local branch and they are all T5 apart from the big Trigon in black. Will be placing an order after christmas.
