Juwel Air Diffuser

I have just been given a juwel air diffuser and I was not sure if the blue bit which is on the end of the tubing is supposed to be in the water or not. I know this is a really stupid question but I was given it by a friend with no instructions and was just told it would blow bubbles, I am not even sure what it does.

If its the one Im thinking of it draws air in and blows bubble out with the water. Youd be better getting a few inches of air line which should fit onto it and have the other end of the airline out if the water.

Thanks for that I was having a thick moment, I have got some spare airline so I will give it a try.

th blue bit goes onthe end of th airline (above/out) the water.
this enables you to control the amount of air that the powerhead sucks into the tank.
