Hi my heavily pregnant guppy gave birth on friday afternoon, then shortly after my female molly gave birth, then shortly after that another molly gave birth and now I have acouple more fish approaching birth! Is this a coinsidence or can they like sense eachothers vibes which makes them go into labour. This is the first time theyve had babies and it seems weird that half of my female livebearers gave birth at the same time?? Does this happen to anybody else??? Just wonderin, any1?

What was the weather that day? Sometimes a low pressure system (storm) can trigger spawning in egglayers, and I wouldn't doubt you could find a connection in the livebearers. Kind of like nature's own water change system.

Next time you're talking to a maternity nurse, ask them about human birth rates during the full moon cycle! Nature rules all, no matter how hard we try to make it otherwise.
