just starting...well...not really

hello! i used to have a betta but i dont anymore! i didnt start it so i really dont have any idea how to start another one! my old was just sorta...there! my sister took care of it and everything but now shes in college and she doesnt have time to explain the whole dealio to me! could someone please help!! im only getting one and itll be in a 5 gal. tank MAX! and i also want a live plant in it....any suggestions or helpful would be GREATLY appreciated! THANKS SO MUCH!!

Bettas are awesome, fun, and have great personalities. There are plenty of websites to help you learn how to take care of bettas.

i also want a live plant in it

get java moss! It's cheap. It's dead easy to take care of (take out of bag. dump in water. walk away.) And it's nice & soft on Mr. Betta's fins.

It will be a pretty simple job for you really, especially with a 5 gallon tank. Just keep the water clean, buy some good betta pellets and don't over feed.
