Ello, everyone. I will be setting up my first pico, a Tetra Waterwonders kit. I will be setting it up either late this year or early next year. Its a 1.5 gallon tank, a small one. So, what should i put in it? Suggestions please, i have no idea. :good: if you have an idea, list it.

The lighting is rubbish, just letting you know. They are not even 1W LEDs, but .6w, so it's not going to grow much. Maybe mushrooms will be ok, but they won't retain their color much. You can still do a cool little invert only tank. With live rock and cute little critters. :)

I plan on getting a t5 light for it, so i can get something. Would a mini reef or an invert tank be best?

Depends on the lighting. Mini reefs are fine, just harder to do. If you can get decent lighting, go for a mini-reef, if not, then go invert tank. Lots of cute little inverts.

Can u get metal halides for tiny tanks? If so, i shall get those. :good:
Edit. I like your sun coral tank llj. I think i might make a mini one so i dont need a new light.

Don't do tubastrea right away. Start off with Dendros and Balanophylias first. Much more forgiving than Tubastrea species.

Yeah, a MH would totally fry a 1.5g tank. I've got a 70w MH over an 8g, but it's suspended about 14" above the tank. LOL

on the cute invert front i love "sexy shrimps" they are totally wicked :p

I got sexies in my 5.5g tank. They are awesome. There are rumors that they eat coral, but that could just be people watching them pick on particles on the coral. I've got 4 sexies.

And a pompom crab and anemone crabs.
