when ever i name my fish they seem to have accidents Romulus and Remus my knight gobys had some accidents after gitting there names one chocked on a shirmp the other knocked over a rock and managed to attract my puffers attention while freeing him self ( but he seems to be doing better ) why does it always go south when i name my pet ? weird huh

There is a moral to that. Don't name your fish after characters that suffer a premature death :)

And if you feed smaller bits of food and don't have lose rocks neither would have had a problem.

yeah but its always the fact its named more then what i name it my cory even meet an untimely death after i named him chomper ( becouse he will eat pretty much anything except other fish

you obviously need many fish so you could not possibly name them all. so off you go more tanks and more fish.... you know it makes sense.

and it wasnt so much he was feed to big of pieces he attacked and tried to eat a whisker shrimp i have in my tank for puffers should i not make it home and the lose rock was propped up by a half buryed 3 pound rock i found outside and boiled to make a cave with i dont know how he managed to move it ( now i use the same silicone sealant as they use in the tanks construction to give it a bit more stability

OK, what i meant was, if every time you name a fish it has an accident, then dont name any a way to do this would be to have so many fish you cant name them all as there would be too many fish for you to remember their names.
Now i have confused myself

lol that makes sense but i do have a bunch of fish but there all sorts and kinds with different personality's that i want to name them i fight it but i still wish i could name them but yeah i have 4 butterfly fish a ghost knife a clown knife like 6 corys 3 rainbow sharks 2 peacock eels 2 figure 8s a knight goby 4 bumblebee gobys and a red eye puffer ( as you can see there many different kinds and they dont act like each other so its always tempting) ( and this is all before my first salt water tank is set up ( im substrate and live rock away form haveing it up )

I'd be more concernd about having the fish in with the puffer, rather than them dying when you name them.
What specie of puffer is this? as most are best kept with larger fish or on there own (species tanks in some species cases).
Even fish such as dwarf puffers, will still take a powerful bite out of things bigger then themselves.
So its best to keep in the know.

i have a bronze puffer a c. lortiti and 2 figure 8s and there all alone except the figure 8s. who are in with a few gobys that they dont mind a bit. im smarter then to by a puffer a 10+dollar treat that can give it a fatal fatty liver. and actually i took a risk and was able to name a bunch of my fish with no accidents so far i not have karma effect gir and big red
and what is so unlucky about listing species

I'd probly remove the gobies fromthe fig 8's as fig 8's from my experience can be quite spiteful.
If the fig's are leaving the gobies alone, then thats fine for the moment. But i would expect accidents to happen somewhere down the line.

As much as generally id agree, ive had great success wit BBG's and T Biocellatus, the gobies clear up waste and spilt food and generally add some action to the tank.

that being said (although true), if the puffer's killed one of his gobies so freely.
id show concern on his match up, at least.
