Just Installing My Ex1200 - Quick Question

Does the intake pipe need to be right at the bottom of the tank?

As its about 6 inches from the bottom, bare tank, so obvoiusly wont be 6 inches with substrate in etc

Also the retun pipe only reaches across just under half the width of the tank, I'm guessing this isnt a problem anyway, just wondered on the intake pipe really

no thats fine, it should be powerful enough to suck poo up, maybe lower 1 more inch
