I have heard of them. I googled an image and this is what came up. Interesting but not my thing.

They are veil DTs, so DTs with poor caudal spread.

I actually think they're quite pretty, having never seen them before now. My favorite betta types tend to be deltas and plakats, so this is a first for me. One of these days...
