And I put them in with my other cories in my 30 gallon. As near as I can guess, I now have 18-20 or so of them in there which is more than I realized so some are going to move into my Khuli tank if it becomes a problem. I have two filters running, one a bio wheel and both rated to filter up to 60 gallon tanks so I've got plenty of filtration and a lot of decorations for them to hide in but I'm going to get more to help with the relieving some of the crampness in the current hiding spots. I keep up with water changes and I am always looking for signs of stress, disease or other problems.
So am I too overstocked even for Cories or are they going to live okay with the number now? With most fish I would never even attempt this number but Cories being so clean and sociable I stretched the limits. As I said, I have a 10g Khuli tank I can move some to if there are going to be stress issues. I feed them a wide variety of flake, sinking pellet, frozen and freeze dried foods as well as fresh veggies when I remember. There are also 5 Black Neons but they stick to the upper levels of the tank.
I should stress this is the absolute maximum number of fish going in there without taking some out first. I want to get more Schwartzi and Skunks, when I have space.
These are the species in there I can think of offhand :
Albino Bronze: 6-7
Schwartzii: 2
False Julii: 3
Peppered: 3
Panda: 3
Skunk: 1 (bought him out of pity being the only with one other albino cory and been unable to get more so far)
