Just got a new Plec

I was at the LFS and decided I should check on smaller plecos. I have a common pleco in my tank now, but I'm going to give him to someone who has a bigger tank than mine (45g) and I want a small pleco so he doesn't tear up the tank. He suggested the Spotted Alvino they have. so I bought it and brought it home and put it in my tank. I thought I would look it up so I know some ish about but there is nothing about it that I can find. The only thing I found that I thought could be it was this: http/www.fish2u.com/spotalplec.html. I thought for sure that was the one I just got, but when I looked in the tank again I realized he didn't have spots, he had stripes...Help???

Hi...just had to do a little research on a new pleco myself.


Planet Catfish is a great resource in figuring out what type of pleco you have. Check out the Cat-elog. By the way, I found out my new addition is L205.

sounds like a Striped Bulldog Plec
