Just got a gold nugget plec....

Hi guys
I just recently got a gold nugget plec and I have him for about a week now and I haven't seen him eat at all.... I drop a couple of bottom feeder pellets every night when the light is off, I even tried putting lettuce and carots, but the GNP doesn't seem to bother with it at all. All my other plecs are eating the stuff i put in there(see them with my flashlight when the light is off). I was wonderin if there is something wrong with him?? or is it because he's still accumulating to his new environment.....He looks fine though, he's very active when the light is off???..what do you guys suggest i should do???

I had exactly the same problem. It took ages before I could figure out if he was eating or not. Eventually I decided that as it was coming out the other end, it had to be going in his mouth. Taken about 4 weeks and now he's happily eating algae tablets. Won't touch much else, yet.

I hope he eats.... I've tried everything even put frozen brine shrimp at night. Also he seems to stay at one place(beside the heater) for a long period of time. I'm thinking this is normal, but i don't know why he prefers that place even though there's lot's of rock caves in my tank
