I have to agree with you Auratus, they are beautiful. I love how even the females can be quite colorful when the light hits their scales just right.

Do you have a species tank? And how many panchax's do you have? Just got my pair yesterday and I love the little showoffs.

Nope only the pair, I got them at Petsmart and they are in my 26 gallon. The male is a little aggressive to the female but only at feeding time. Petmsart had them labled as some sort of gourami so I got them for $1.99 each... I told them that they were mislabeled but they didn't believe me. They were the last two left and they had them with convicts so I got them out of there quick.

haha in the two months since this pic was taken his colors have developed even more - I had to take the digicam back, but I'll see if i can get a pic. They get a red border in their tail fin as they age.

but he's getting nasty toward the pristellas - and that don't sit well with the Noelberg! ... starting to find out they're not great community killis

he's a yellow panchax - the book i was reading at that time mislabled them as "blue" panchax.

My male also started being overly aggressive. He killed his girlfriend. Now he's all alone and doesn't know why
