Has anybody found a fast and efficient method of catching tetra or any other lightning fast fish , I remember when I moved house i literally had to take all the water out and scoop them out the puddles in the gravel , thts not an option this time as I don’t want to empty my whole tank to get them , I’m trying to catch 8 2inch fish in 500l Iv caught 2 in 45 mins and had to cancel the sale because I honestly can’t be bothered with the hassle , how do you lot catch fish like this ?

I think the two nets approach is quite popular. One net larger than the other. Keep the large net at one end of the tank and guide the fish in with the smaller one. Easier said than done and I nearly always end up ripping out all the plants and everything ?

Yep two nets all the way

Done the same before having to cancel sales haha because I couldn’t catch them

It’s really annoying I’m just looking at them like free loaders like a hopeless landlord who can’t evict there tenants ,, il hve to borrow an Oscar for a day ? , I only wanted them out because I want somesilver dollars again and think I’d be cramped

It's a PITA with bigger tanks, but the easiest way, you already know....empty the tank as much as possible

I have seen people on YouTube setup traps... if theyre desperate I suppose... So, use a drinks bottle and bait it. Pull it out quickly when the right fish enters the 'trap' lol

New style fishing lol that actually sounds like it could be a laugh

Two nets. Use an 8-12 inch net and put it against the front glass and rest it on the substrate.

Use a 4-6 inch net to guide the fish into the big net and lift it out. Use bigger nets for bigger tanks or big fish.

I don't know why people have trouble catching fish in tanks. I used to be able to catch a single neon tetra out of a tank container 500 of them. Customers used to want that one, and that one, and that one over there. So I used to get them those fish.

With a bit of practice it should only take a few seconds to get a fish out of a tank.

If you have rocks and wood and the fish hide under that, you remove those items before trying to catch the fish.

The more time you spend chasing the fish, the more likelihood of the fish dying after you catch it.
