Just Found A One Gallon. . . What To Do?

Hey, just found an old small plastic tank that you used to get back in the day!!! I think it is about one gallon ish

I can't just leave it there lol, anyone have any suggestions? A betta, shrimps, frog(s) really any suggestions!!! i really don't wana just leave it there lol. The problem with making it a planted tank would be the fat i couldnt realy out a light anywhere unless i used like a desk one near it. . . .

I wouldn't even say a one gal was ideal for a betta, maybe could use it as a hospital tank for small fish.

A nice bunch of flowers would look lovely in there.

you could always put some ghost shrimp in there, or im sure it woud be fine for one african dwarf frog.

Probably a bit too small for much... why try growing plants in there? That can sometimes be as rewarding as keeping fish.

i might just get a few plants an a couple of flowers so it looks pretty and obviously cheaper in comparison to fish... later on i might consider an invertibrate or something - what do people think about that?

Bbs hatchery, one gallon jars are great for that, a one gallon tank shouldn't be much different.

i think i will go for a few plants. . . see how good i am at keeping them - anyone know any good tips? as i am a complete amateur about the whole plants thing and before you say i will post it on the plants bit lol

what do you feed brine shrimp lol - i might be tempted to put a fish in there and watch the massacre though lol he he

it would be kinda cool having a tank full of puny brine shrimp, bloodworms and perhaps daphnia - would that work? could they co - exist? PLEASE tell as i really wana do that now lol - thanks tolak B)

p.s. i wonder what the expected life time of a brine shrimp is? a few days or somethin if they arent stuck infront of a fish lol

Bbs hatch from cysts and are fed to fish within 24 hours. The salt level used in hatching has a higher salinity than a marine tank, so you really can't keep anything in with them.

Growing them out requires the same salinity level, and is quite a messy & smelly setup, best done in a garage or other outbuilding.
