Just Bought A Spotted Raphael Cat!

As the title states, I just bought a rahpael cat. The tank is a 55 gallon. It has a sand substrate and 3 gold goramis. He(the raphael cat) has his own cave and I will feed him algae wafers. Any other advice I need to know?

They hide alot,I have 4 of them together and they seam to be a bit more outgoing the more you have.They are so spiky and fat and cute that it makes up for them being such hermits.
Besides the algae wafers get some sinking pellets made from shrimp or other high protein stuffs.Keep them well and you could have them atleast 15 years!

Lovely fish, I have 2. They need a nice varied diet, mine eat everything from wafers (broken up) plellets and even flake to bloodworm and prawns. THe more plant (fake or real) cover you have the more likely you are to see him.

Thanks both of you! He defenintly hides alot. I will be getting more later on. I'm just stocking my tank slowly. I do have sinking pellets and I aagree Socks, they are ADORABLE!
