ok so i have a question about live rock, say you didnt like the look of live rock in your display tank would it work if u put the live rock in the sump instead?

i have no intention of doing it i was just wondering if it would work

Yes it would as Live Rock is a method of filtration, so aslong as there is ample flow around it, it should be fine to do. You would need a large sump though to provide enough room for the live rock and other bits of hard ware etc.

I don't actually have a marine tank as of yet but I'm pretty sure that I'm on the right lines.

Yes it would work fine and is what i plan on doing in my seagrass tank.

I am going to have a few large boulders in the main tank with the rest in the sump.

wow i had a good idea...lol, my tank is 140 ltr and my sump will be 118 ltr, so i would say the sump would be big enough if i did decide to do it?

where is the cheapest place to get live rock apart from some1 breaking a tank

Most places charge around the same for liverock and it will depend on what rock you want.

Have a look here http://live-rock.co.uk/, about as cheap as your gonna get it.
