1 of my clowns is doing the strangeist thing, it hovers above a it of rock ner te nem that they go n ang judders back and fowards and side to side?? looks really odd,is itl aying eggs?

Do you just have the one clown or are there any other fish in the tank near to the clown when it does this?

Prolly just pairing courtship. Not necessarily associated with egg-laying. The precursor to egg laying is if both clowns spend hours a day cleaning a patch of rock near their host nem with their mouths. That's a sure sign of nesting behavior

I've observed the same behaviour. Its some kind of communication between the two fish. Mine were always "arguing" and would swim along side one another, kind of go on their side at a weird angle, and start juddering and jerking/twitching. It was funny to watch. Clownfish just remind me of a hen-pecked husband and wife, with the big female putting the male in his place lol.
