I didnt see breeding sub-forum so i am entering this here. my two red fancy goldfish laid a LOTS of eggs, but i just collected some and only 4 have survived, Here are they in nano-tank at almost 2 and half months . enjoy .

The biggest of fry is suddenly changing colours (but not red , weirdly).I have named him Mr.Biggie :D

Hi
I think that he has ammonia burns that is why he is getting the tips black I think you should make a water change well thats my opinion I may not be right, let someone else check it out

its very nice fish btw

good luck

50% water change daily.

the other fish are too having same pattern. its not burn like but a pattern, i hope its not burn, its more developed now, after 24 hours. Will post vid in 2 days i guess as other mates too are colouring.

This guys are not gasping or napping , absolutely chirpy ALL the time. just today i gave them little bloodworms. i mean they attacked this bloodworms with no mercy. lol. just giving them taste of I guess after 2 months now, i should not keep them just on bbs , so converting them to eat live worms and soon pellets.

Coloring looks to be natural but DO keep an eye on your water stats... I thought my 2" baby ranchu would be fine in a 5g QT with 50 GPH of filtration.... well I thought wrong! Water quality was out the window by the 5th day!

I knew they were messy but not that messy!

thanks kelly.

Actually i am going to setup 46 gallon tank and within week i am going to move this big fry to that tank with parents. hopefully that works out well. :) I will be uploading that video too "Meet the parents" edition. lol.

Okay guys, problem. Mr. Biggie (the biggest of fry who chases my finger and I thought he had salt burns but thats not the case) has grown steadily now. infact he is outgrowing tank, he barely runs in the tank now like he used to do.

Today i came back at my place and water was all white mr biggie and his mates have been feeding on those micro worms (i think grindal or some small v v tiny red worms not bloods ).

I have changed water, but i think the fish bioload is going really over top, So later in some hours in dark , I am going to move Mr.Biggie to main tank. I cant find the camera right now, But will try to find and record this.

Mr. Biggie is used to dive on that feeding-cone stuck on glass to eat worms. So i am sure he will be okay in main tank. He is almost 3 inch now, has really grown rapidly.

well yesterday night, i simply dozed off, i was tired to the bones. Sorry for no vid/pic updates for longtime . But this week was really hectic, I barely could give any time to any tanks, just cleaned the nano tanks yesterday and some 3 days ago. so two times in a week i think.

so now its v early morning and just fed the two nano tanks with worms. Mr Biggie and his mates are kind of full but you can see they still want to chase my finger for more food.

And I am closing this journal as all the small fry have been moved to my Main tank, once they grow up, I will be giving them to LFS or any other takers who wish so.

Thanks for following.

Always nice to see how the fry turn out... If I ever get a spawn I would probably save a few eggs, knowing that I can find good homes for them on the classifieds of my local aquarium forum.
