Here are some progressive pictures of my tank up to its current look.

This is what the tank looked like the first day I set it up. Very boring.

A few weeks later (while trying a fishless cycle) I added a background, a light and some rock. The water level was low because I was trying to create for of a splash to increase the oxygen durring the cycle.

Thanks to advice I got on this board, I got some more plants today and took this pic. I also did a little rearanging. The tank is still cycling but I now have 4 dainos in there. I am going to the LFS tonight to get some neon (or cardinal) tetras.

So...what does everyone think of the new look?

WOW that looks amazing!...You did great work on that tank!!! :kewlpics:

Cant wait to see the fish in the tank!!! :D :p :D

I LOVE IT!!!!!!!

REALLY CUTE!!!!!

But I would go for the cardinals, no Neons......or should I say Peons.........they get ill very easily although they are beautful

Thanks for all the compliments.

Silver - I ended up getting cardinals...just for you. :D Well, not completely but you can think that. When I got there they had cardinals for $.50 cents more than neons. I remembered how cardinals are immune to neon tetra disease. I had my little sister with me and she liked the full red stripe best turns out I did too so I decided to go with the cardinals.

So, now the tank is inhabbited by 5 cardinals (I had 6 but one was injured and died the night I got him) and 4 dainos.

And lastly...how about some tips on getting a STOM nomination and anything that you think could spruce it up for a win? ;)

LOOKS GREAT! :kewlpics: what kind of camera did you use? I would recomend 2 ottos and 2 corys or maybe a dwarf pleco!

Actually yes...Ottos are on my list for the cleanup crew.

The camera I used is a Fuji FinePix 2600 2.0MP Digital Camera. I had to put it on manual and adjust the EV(?) setting to get it to take a good pic without washing out. I didn't really know what I was doing so it took a bunch of shots to get the setting right and then to find a pic I liked.
