ok well ive set up my rio 125 today and lookin about its got the 600lph pump in it is it possible to upgrade the pump for 1 of the bigger 1s say out of a rio 400 or something.

was thinking something like this if it would fit ebay Item number: 230291950856

Yes they do fit and yes i have done it with no ill effects, a few will say that the faster flow through the media isnt good for the bacteria itself and that the slowere movement through the media would be much better.... my understanding is that bacteria needs WATER FLOW and this is to ensurer oxygen is present for the bacteria to breath and stay alive, so i would have presumed more oxygen/more flow wouldbe more beneficial

I installed the 1000lph pump in my Juwel Rio 125 to replace the standard 600lph. The difference is brilliant. Definitely recommend doing it.
